NEW PLYWOOD MILL GOES WITH RAUTE

Raute Corp. has received orders worth EUR 55 million from LLC Plitwood of Vologda, Russia. The orders include all machinery and equipment for the production process of an entire plywood mill and also services related to the installation, commissioning and production startup of the mill.

Annual capacity of the new mill will be 180,000 m³ of birch plywood. The equipment will be delivered during the end of 2021 and early 2022.

The order is one of the largest single orders in Raute history.

Plitwood was established in 2017 for this project. Its principal owners are AO CHFMK (Cherepovets Plywood-Furniture Plant) and LLC VLP. Due to the exceptional circumstances with the pandemic, negotiations were handled almost entirely through remote connections.
